Singers unite!

CONCORA's BIG SING connects vocalists together in multiple locations across the state to sing choruses from the same well-loved work. For January 2026, the choruses will all be from Mendelssohn's Elijah. The BIG SING gives singers an opportunity to choose among several locations across Connecticut to sing the same glorious music, at the same time of year. An optional and encouraged vocal workshop, designed for avocational singers, will begin each event. The BIG SING seeks to build connections for vocalists throughout the state.

3-3:45PM Vocal Workshop (Optional and encouraged!)

Featured Vocal Workshop

Sing with Confidence: Healthy Habits for the Avocational Singer

Designed for those who love choral singing, this 45-minute workshop offers practical, accessible strategies for maintaining a healthy voice. Led by CONCORA’s own Sarah Armstrong, Executive Director of Hartford Chorale and Professor of Voice at Central Connecticut State University, participants will work as a group to explore posture, breath, efficient tone production, and rehearsal-day self-care—tools that support vocal longevity and expressive, assured choral singing.
