Description

Concordia University Irvine is pleased to launch the first Piano Summer Music Camp in the Borland-Manske Center. Young talented pianists take part in intensive piano programs with distinguished faculty and guest artists enhancing their musical skills and knowledge, and sharing with peers and professional musicians.


REGISTRATION

Video recordings required to apply. Use YouTube or a similar video-sharing platform to share one or two recordings that demonstrate your highest level of musical achievement. Participants will be selected to participate based on their video audition submission. 

  • Early Acceptance Registration due date: 4/10/2022 with $25.00 registration fee
  • Acceptance will be announced by 4/12, 2022. Tuition must be paid by 4/17, 2022
  • The second registration due date: 5/15, 2022 with $50.00 registration fee
  • Acceptance will be announced by 5/17, 2022. Tuition must be paid by 5/23, 2022

• Video audition and application due 5/15/2022.



• All participants must prepare two contrasting repertoires to be ready to perform for the program.

Eligibility: 11 years and up*

Tuition: 

Domestic Student: 1350.00
International Student: 1650.00
Room and Board : International Students: 920.00*
Domestic Students: 780.00
Lunch: 100.00 (optional for commuting students)

*Students under 18 years old who need room and board, must be accompanied by a guardian or chaperon.

Masterclasses ; 2 performance opportunities during daily masterclasses.

    3  Private individual lessons 

    Piano Ensemble : assigned for two piano, and 4 hands ensemble.

   Daily Practice : 

    Featured classes – Keyboard Improvisation 

                                      How to play Baroque keyboard music (Organ and Harpsichord)

                                      20th Century Piano Music and technique.

                                      Seminars for the featured composers

                                      Techniques for piano playing

                                      Preparation for performance

                                      Fun Rhythms

                                      Magic of Harmony (music theory)

Summer Piano Group classes for young beginners ( age 6-7 and  7-8)

       7/5-7/15 (Weekdays) 

          Class I: 10-10:45AM 

          Class II: 11:10AM-11:55AM

*No classes on Weekend (7/9 and 7/10)

     Tickets : Tuition   300.00 

    Class material cost is included.
