Day 1 - Connecting Research and Practice for Urban Woodland Management: A collaborative workshop
Tuesday January 27th, 8:45am - 3:00pm, Koffler House, 569 Spadina Crescent, Toronto, ON, Main Activity Hall (room KP208)
Join the the University of Toronto's Forestry at Daniels, the City of Toronto, and Tree Canada for a day of collaboration and knowledge-sharing as we explore the health of Southern Ontario's forests and natural areas, and the research contributing to their monitoring and management across urban and peri-urban spaces. This day will include a keynote speaker, an expert panel, and collaborative group discussions. 

 

Day 2 (SOLD OUT)- Species At Risk Habitat Monitoring Workshop: Black Ash (organized and  lead by Dr. Puric-Mladenovic’s Forests in Settled Landscape Lab)

Curious about how Vegetation Sampling Protocol can aid in the monitoring and management of Black Ash and other species at risk in Southern Ontario? Join us on Day 2 for a workshop aimed at professionals, private land owners, and other stakeholders as we explore, through a series of presentations and discussions, how data collection and analysis aid in the conservation of Southern Ontario's at-risk habitats and species. 

 

*Day 1 and Day 2 of the workshop include both breakfast and lunch!*

Spadina Station: Take the University-Spadina line (Line 1) and exit at Spadina Station. Walk east along Harbord Street, then turn north on Spadina Crescent to reach Koffler House (approx. 10-minute walk).
Queen’s Park Station: Take Line 1 to Queen’s Park Station. Walk west along College Street, then north on Spadina Crescent (approx. 12-minute walk).
