Join CFMA TC on February 25th from 2:00-3:30 pm for the virtual program Construction Industry Forecast: The State of the Minnesota Economy”.  This will be an interactive session on the current state and trajectory of the Minnesota economy, including its construction sector. Erick Garcia Luna from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis will offer data on various economic metrics, compare the state’s performance to nearby states & the nation as a whole, and discuss the role that labor force size and participation have on current and future economic growth. Attendees will be polled on market conditions including current business activity, hiring, wages, and outlook. The results will be shared live during the presentation to keep your business informed on the future of our industry.

Erick Garcia Luna, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis 

Erick Garcia Luna is a regional outreach director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. His responsibilities include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on several aspects of the economy of the Fed's Ninth District. Erick is a co-author of the Beige Book and has published articles on inflation, business conditions, and labor. His work has been featured in local and national media, including Marketplace and Bloomberg TV.

Prior to joining the Minneapolis Fed, Erick held a variety of roles in the U.S. Senate, the City of Minneapolis, and the University of Minnesota. His academic credentials include coursework in economics and political science from the Autonomous Metropolitan University in Mexico City, and a degree in economics from the University of Minnesota.
