What You'll Learn:

  1. Béchamel – The creamy, velvety white sauce made from butter, flour, and milk. Perfect for dishes like mac and cheese, croquettes, and gratins.

  2. Velouté – A light stock-based sauce that pairs well with poultry or fish. Learn how to make this delicate, smooth sauce and explore variations.

  3. Espagnole – A rich, brown sauce made with beef or veal stock, tomatoes, and brown roux. This sauce is the base for hearty, flavorful dishes like braised meats and stews.

  4. Tomato Sauce – A classic, versatile sauce made from ripe tomatoes, aromatics, and seasonings. Perfect for pasta, pizza, and a wide array of Mediterranean dishes.

  5. Hollandaise – The indulgent, buttery sauce made with egg yolks and lemon, commonly paired with eggs Benedict, asparagus, or fish.

What to Expect

Great cooking is about more than just recipes- it's about celebrating culinary experiences with a foodie community. In this class, you'll learn with other students in a positive, interactive environment led by our professional Chef instructor.

  • Length: Approximately 2 hours (timing will depend on class size and flow!)

  • Format: Hands-On. Get ready to stir up your inner chef as you work with other students, typically in groups of four people, guided by the chef instructor. You’ll be standing and cooking during the class, so please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes and have long hair tied back.

  • Restrictions: Ages 17 and older. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

  • All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason. If your plans change classes may be rescheduled with a minimum of 96 hours notice (4 days).

  • LBV reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule classes as needed. (weather, illness, etc.) Though this is never our goal, if we need to do so, an email will be sent to the ticket holder with rescheduling options asap.

 

Experience Options 

  • Premium Experience: Arrive up to 30 minutes before the start of class and enjoy a seasonal appetizer as well as your choice of one complimentary glass of beer, wine, or soft drink. (additional drinks available for purchase) Also, spend a little one on one time with our chef instructor!

  • General Admission: Enjoy a hands on cooking class experience with seasoned chefs and quality ingredients! We provide everything needed including Aprons! Drinks are available for purchase at the beginning and end of class - please ask your chef for assistance :)

  • Allergies: We will attempt to accommodate any true medical allergy with advance notice. Please indicate allergies when completing ticket purchase.
