Do you have basic cooking skills and a desire to make an even bigger impact in your community? Perfect! We're inviting passionate volunteers and paid staff from community projects working with food, to join a hands-on session focused on transforming your cooking abilities to cook confidently at scale. 

 

This isn't just about doubling a recipe; it's about understanding the how to efficiently large-batch cooking whilst doing it safely. You'll be working in pairs, getting practical experience with scaling recipes. We'll cover everything from smart chopping techniques for large quantities to practical tips on ingredient swaps and aiming for consistent flavour, no matter the volume. 

 

This is funded by  the National Lottery Climate Action Fund as part of the Food Use Places Project.

If your application is successful we will respond to you around 2 weeks before the start of the course, to invite you and confirm your space.

This is a free event however  there is a £20 per person 'no show' fee.

 

Lunch will be included - as you'll be making it! Please wear closed toe shoes, short sleeves and have hair tied up for the cookery session.
