Description

Virginia Youth Ballet presents the classic ballet, Coppélia.

 

This light-hearted story is joyfully told through classical ballet and folk dance. A magical toymaker’s lifelike doll has fooled a local boy (Franz) into falling in love with the doll, despite being engaged to Swanhilda. Swanhilda and her friends seek to uncover the truth of the doll, and by changing places with the doll, Swanhilda shows Franz his misplaced affection. In the end, all is forgiven and the two are married. Coppélia is an enchanting ballet, perfect for audiences young or old. 

 

In person tickets will be available for $12 per person.   

Performances will be held:

Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2pm & 7pm 

Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2pm

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the performance.  The performance will last approximately 1 hour. 

**Flowers for purchase for dancers; Vostrikov's/VYB merchandise, and Concession will be available during intermission**
