Description
Elementary students are invited to join Miss Lisa for fun afternoons of STEAM exploration and making! Young makers may attend one or all of the workshops. Snacks are provided and the cost for the workshop is $3 per child for non-members and free for members. This is a drop-off program for elementary students.
May 9: Variety Show- How can artists use different materials to tell stories? Use your own sources of inspiration and explore different points of view. Create a flip book animation or narrative sculpture. Collaborate with friends to draw and compose a mural story!
May 16: Characters- How can artists entertain? How can materials convey emotion and character? Using a variety of tools, create a paper mask to use in your own performance!
May 23: Open Studio- What is your favorite way to make art? What tools and materials spark your creativity? Open Studio is an opportunity for free-choice and exploration in the Neighborhood Maker Space. Experience the fun and synergy of joining in a creative community!
