Join CRS Outings for a visit to Ceija Stojka: Making Visible, an exhibition featuring the work of Roma artist, activist, writer, lyricist, and singer Ceija Stojka (1933–2013).

The exhibition brings together more than sixty artworks along with sketchbooks, archival materials, and documentary films created during Stojka’s lifetime. Centered in her Roma identity and heritage, Stojka’s work reflects both profound beauty and the painful realities of her experiences as a Holocaust survivor.

Created in response to rising extreme nationalism in Austria and beyond, Stojka’s powerful artworks bear witness to history while resonating deeply with contemporary audiences. Through her art, Stojka offers a moving reminder of the enduring power of creative expression in the face of destruction, chaos, and injustice.

CRS Outings is made possible by generous support from Marcia and David Lavipour, and Maxine Schweitzer.

No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the event start date. All requests must be made in writing to crs@crsnyc.org.
