What if the rabbis of the Talmud were actually talking about us—our routines, our burnout, our craving for meaning and boundaries?
Join Pardes teachers Nechama Goldman Barash and Zvi Hirschfield for a four-part, interactive deep dive into Tractate Berakhot—where conversations about Kiddush, Havdalah, and dreams reveal a radically modern obsession: how to mark time, make space for the sacred, and stay human in a world that never stops.
Expect lively discussion, provocative texts, and honest conversation about how ancient ritual might just be the most relevant mindfulness practice you’ve never tried.
This is a Zoom-only learning experience. Sessions will be recorded and shared with all participants, so you can stay connected even if you can’t attend every date.
If cost is a barrier to joining, please reach out to Scott Hertz—everyone is welcome to participate.
No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the event start date. All requests must be made in writing to crs@crsnyc.org.
