Description
Gursha: Timeless Recipes for Modern Kitchens, from Ethiopia, Israel, Harlem, and Beyond
We’re celebrating Ethiopian Jewish cuisine and the new cookbook Gursha, a collection of recipes, stories, and traditions from the intersection of the African and Jewish diasporas. Gursha, which translates to the act of feeding one another, is the debut cookbook from chef and restaurateur Beejhy Barhany, founder of Harlem’s beloved Tsion Cafe. Born in Ethiopia, Barhany’s journey took her from Sudan to Israel and ultimately to New York.
Ticket includes a copy of the beautiful cookbook Gursha, samples of some of the book’s recipes, and a fascinating conversation.
