Join the Asheville Museum of History (AMoH) on Sunday, August 2nd, from 3 PM - 5 PM as we celebrate the opening of our new exhibition, Building in the Land of the Sky: Early the 20th Century Architects in Western North Carolina. This special opening celebration includes a Curator's Talk with Whitney Richardson at A-B Tech Conference Center, followed by an exhibit viewing and reception at Asheville Museum of History (AMoH) at the historic Smith-McDowell House. Light refreshments will be available at the viewing and reception.
About the Curator's Talk:
Curator's Talk about Building in the Land of the Sky: Early 20th Century Architects in Western North Carolina will include an overview of the exhibit, now open at the Asheville Museum of History, and a more in-depth look at the architecture then and now.
About the Speaker:
Whitney Richardson is an independent curator as well as a decorative arts and architectural historian. In Asheville, she has worked at the Asheville Art Museum and Biltmore. Past exhibitions include Altruistic Genius: Buckminster Fuller's Plans to Save the Planet and Useful and Beautiful: Silvercraft by William Waldo Dodge.

These donations are placed in our Community Fund, which allows us to offer tickets at no cost to those who otherwise could not attend.
