Description
In this 2-part class (3/14 & 3/21 ) you will make your own wooden cutting/charcuterie board from assorted hardwoods. All materials are provided and no prior experience is needed.
Participants will create and layout a design (10"x 16" maximum size), glue up their components, and learn how to use some of the more common shop tools (like the miter saw, band saw, jointer and planer) to make your own unique cutting board. After a short break where your components will dry - we'll plane, cut, and sand your finished cutting board. Custom features can then be added using the bandsaw and router.

MN Tool Library
The Minnesota Tool Library is a membership based non profit which offers members access to tools, workshop space, and community. By sharing access to tools, no one needs to own costly tools for occasional use. With MTL, we all have low-cost access to the tools we need, when we need them.
Moreover, we engage the community to expand its collective skill set, helping each other to learn which tools to use for meaningful projects and connect with each other while doing it.
Classes are vital to MTL’s mission. They open the doors to all to learn about different tools, how to handle them and empower community members to create projects of their own.
