Vox Obscura explores the medieval allegory of the Danse Macabre - the idea that all are made equal in death, from beggars to popes. Through a wide variety of medieval and renaissance works, this programmatic concert examines the rich history of early sacred and secular music that confronts the thin line between life and death.
