Session 1: Youth Beginner Foundation and Fundamentals:
Ray’s beginner youth session is designed to introduce Ray’s to riders under the age of 12. This course will explore body positions used to safely navigate the park and take them around the park to see where all they can ride. For our youth events, we use terms youth relate to, fun games, and more to teach them the skills.
Session 2: Ray’s 101 The foundations
Foundation and Fundamentals: not just for new rider! They are necessary for EVERY level of rider. Difficulties with advanced skills and techniques often stem from a lack of one or more fundamental skills. (no prerequisite skills)
This class is ideal for new riders or for riders who have never taken a lesson or clinic and want to learn skills needed for higher level skills.
This session will explore basic bike set up specifically for riding at Ray’s, fundamental body positions used to navigate the park, a guided tour of the park, and more. This is a great way to see the park with experienced and knowledgeable instructors.
Session 3: Ray’s 102 The expanded foundations:
Foundations and Fundamentals are not just for a new rider, they are necessary for EVERY level of rider. Difficulties with advanced skills and techniques often stem from a lack of one or more fundamental skills.
This course is designed for late beginner riders that have never been to Ray’s or that have only been a few times, but are comfortable riding green and blue trails. (Easy to moderate level trails).
This session will cover basic bike set up for riding at Ray’s, fundamental body positions, a tour of the park and may introduce *rolling drops, intro to cornering, intro to pumping, and basic wheel lifts. Expect this session to progress faster than Ray’s 101. This is a great way to take your riding up a notch and learn some new skills.
