Kicking off Deep End Productions inaugural event series on May 27th, 2023 in Kelowna, BC - We are proud to bring you - Cartridge - (Deep Dark & Dangerous + Basscoast 2023 & Shambhala Music Festival 2023 headliner) , one of the hottest rising producers in the bass music scene is coming all the way from Manchester, UK to ring in the first of our official event of the series! Flexing the sub frequencies on over 10000 watts of PK Sound and featuring an intelligent lighting display, projection visuals and stage design all provided by Deep End Productions. Harm reduction, and event hosts will be on site for the event and keeping our attendees safe. Deep End is committed to creating a safe, positive and diverse environment for our attendees that is 100% inclusive - all walks of life are welcome. Our approach to diversity is simple: it’s about embracing everyone. We are cultivating a culture where all attendees can bring their best selves to dance without fear of discrimination or bias, we’re doing our part to build a more open and community focused world. If anything, or anybody makes you feel uneasy, unsafe or uncomfortable – our easily identifiable Hosts will be on the dancefloor to provide an extra layer of harm reduction on hand for the event. Event hosts will be wearing white “Deep End Host” Lanyards and will gladly provide you with comfort or any help needed. Bio:
Manchester’s most recent and captivating addition to electronic music comes in the form of Cartridge. Since 2017 Cartridge has been refining his craft as one of the finest to do it in Dubstep, whilst simultaneously showing no struggle in venturing into a wide variety of other genres.
2019 witnessed Cartridge’s first flurry of releases that spanned an impressive roster of well established labels such as Albion Collective, Encrypted Audio and Manuka Records. His more recent tracks have since gone on to be supported by reputable industry names like Mala, Truth and Madam X, sparking standout releases that are either out now or forthcoming on some of the biggest labels in the scene.
In 2021 Cartridge and Strategy kickstarted their joint venture as Regents on Deep, Dark & Dangerous with their colossal Shegry EP featuring Greengate Adhesive, a track bound to be recognized by anyone who has been near a sound system or radio in recent years. While another track from the EP piqued the interest of FIFA for use in their 2023 soundtrack.
Cartridge has spared no effort in spreading his sound far and wide and continues to cement his name as one you must pay close attention to.
On Direct support for the event we have Kemist, a true dubstep connoisseur representing his label Vinyl Vigilance and always brining a completely stacked crate full of dubplates - he is traveling in all the way in from Calgary for his Kelowna debut appearance!
Docta Strange - with performances at many of the finest clubs, events and festivals Canada has to offer, his unique sounds, productions and blend of genres always creates lasting memories on the Dancefloor and has garnered multiple releases on The Widdlers label "Widd Fam". His selections run deep and span genres of Deep dubstep, Dub, Uk Grime, Drum & Bass, Halftime, Trap and Hip Hop with tasteful turntablism accents sprinkled throughout. He is also the Owner, Sound Engineer, creator & mind behind Deep End Productions.
Jellynote - who needs no introduction is a heavy player in the dubstep scene and Canadian festival circuit. With bookings at top tier festivals like Shambhala, Fozzyfest and more recently his collaboration duo with Step One, titled "Oats", has seen immense support, progression and a multitude of releases in their time together. Jellynote is bringing all kinds of spicy unreleased original flavors spanning genres like Dubstep, Halftime, Hip Hop and Experimental be prepared for him to flex our system all kinds of proper!
Strawberry Feels - Is a force to reckoned with, her unique blend of gangster, feminine, and high energy positive energy spills out into all her selections! Touching on Genres like UK Garage, Footwork, Hip Hop, Trap and Dubstep she has carved out her own signature sound of party positive vibes and is ready to kick off the event proper. She is also our lead harm reduction and resident nurse keeping our party, attendees and dancefloor safe!
