Traci Thayne Corbett is a Cape Ann Based artist who works primarily in oil paint, focusing on scenes of Cape Ann as well as figurative work and portraiture.
Influenced by the work of Charles Movalli, Jeff Weaver and John Singer Sargent, her goal is to illuminate the beauty around us as translated through her hand - and paint!
She has studied with artists such as Daniel Greene, Mark Hayden, Alyssa Monks, and most notably Steve Forster. Traci is a juried member of the North Shore and Rockport Art Associations, and a member of Rocky Neck Art Colony as well.
Traci’s recent work explores the intersection of man made elements, and natural beauty of Cape Ann. Her expressive brushstrokes make oil paint itself the subject alongside the scenery.
She is the Executive Director of Cape Ann Art Haven, and also serves as Vice President of the Cape Ann Plein Air Board of Directors.
Traci lives in Gloucester with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever.
