Día de Los Muertos Festival is BACK!
Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, along with the Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group, invites you celebrate Day of the Dead and your family to honor your ancestors and celebrate the cycle of life and death.
The festival at the Brooks will offer art-making activities, face painting, music, costumed performers, dance performances, and more!
Admission is FREE with registration

El Museo de Arte de Memphis Brooks, junto con el Grupo de Teatro Bilingüe Cazateatro, lo invitan a usted y a su familia a honrar a sus antepasados y celebrar el ciclo de la vida y la muerte.

11:30 – 12:30pm: Dia de Los Muertos Parade
Starting in Overton Square, the parade including floats, marchers, and dancers will progress to theMemphis Brooks Museum of Art via Madison Avenue and Tucker Street.
12:30 – 1:00pm: DJ Moi, a local bilingual DJ, will emcee the event—introducing performers, sharing announcements, andkeeping the energy high with regional Latin hits between sets.
1:00 – 1:30pm: Danza Azteca Quetzalcoatl, now celebrating 20 years, brings Aztec heritage to life with vibrant regalia and powerful traditional dances that honor and share this rich cultural legacy.
1:45 – 2:00pm: University of Memphis Marimba Ensemble will perform a piece showcasing the marimba’s lasting importance in Central American and Mexican traditions.
2:30 – 3:00pm: Marisol Pierre Memphis-based mariachi singer Marisol Pierre will perform solo before joining Mariachi Guadalajara for a grand finale.
3:00 – 3:30pm: Mariachi Guadalajara This local family mariachi band will travel throughout the museum and close the day performing classic mariachi songs.
