Let's dig & divide some dahlias together! Bring all your questions & a hat- The weather looks gorgeous!
There are many ways to grow dahlias, and even more ways to care for them overwinter.
Join us for a hands-on workshop to learn the best ways for our climate.
Participants with help dig and divide dahlia tuber clumps and take a few tubers home for practice.
Just a few things we'll be sharing:
- Preparing plants for winter.
- Why to dig & divide.
- How to tackle the job efficiently.
- Best tricks & tools of the trade.
- How to avoid the most common mistakes.
- Tuber anatomy: eyes, necks & crowns.
- Curing & labeling.
- Tuber care & storage.
All garden skill levels welcome, however this class is best suited for adults and children over 12.
Bring a hat, gloves if you like them, a sharp pair of strong gardening shears/clippers, water & a snack. We will be out in the flower field working so wear layers & close toed shoes.
No dogs except legitimate service animals.
