Join us for Dinner and a Movie featuring Among Neighbors, a new award-winning documentary that examines the mystery of a small, rural town in Poland where people of two different faiths lived side by side for centuries, until the killing began.

Bring your own dinner and eat together before settling in for the screening. The evening will continue with a discussion with Roberta Grossman, co-founder and executive director of Jewish Story Partners.

Among Neighbors is a powerful true story that reveals both love and betrayal as it examines a crime committed among neighbors six months after World War II.

About Roberta Grossman

An award-winning filmmaker, Roberta Grossman is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Writers Guild of America. She has written, directed and produced more than 40 hours of film and television including Who Will Write Our History and the Netflix Original Documentary Seeing Allred about women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. In 2014, Grossman directed Above and Beyond for producer Nancy Spielberg. Grossman’s Hava Nagila (The Movie) was released in 2012 and in 2008, Blessed Is the Match: The Life and Death of Hannah Senesh, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award. Grossman produced the films Vishniac (2023) and Dorothea Lange: Grab a Hunk of Lightning (2014) both of which aired on PBS/American Masters. Between 2021-2023, Grossman produced and directed a series of films for the new Lost Shtetl Museum in Lithuania.

Grossman received the Taube Jewish Peoplehood Award in 2020. The award honors Jewish men and women who have worked to foster pride in Jewish identity and heritage for new generations, making a uniquely Jewish contribution to global culture.
