Art-punk rock'n'roll outfit The Dinner Is Ruined brings three decades of noise, craft, and chaos to The Bunker this October.
The band is fronted by Dale Morningstar, owner/operator/producer of the Gas Station Recording Studio, whose credits behind the board include Gord Downie, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thrush Hermit, The Inbreds, and Julie Doiron. He's joined by legendary drummer David Clark (Rheostatics and more) and low-end master Dr. Johnny Pee on keys.
Over 30-plus years, the trio has released nine albums, toured Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Mali, West Africa, opened for the likes of Sonic Youth and Beck, and played the storied stage of Massey Hall. They've also logged time as members of Gord Downie and the Country of Miracles, contributing to three-plus albums, and have guested on countless soundtracks, sessions, and film and dance scores along the way. Their new album, Like a Tree, Heroic, is just out on vinyl.

At The Bunker, we’re proud that the majority of ticket revenue goes directly to the artists. To support our mission and keep the music going, a minimum $10 purchase per person from our menu is required during ticketed shows.
With limited seating, we kindly ask all ticket holders to arrive no later than 15 minutes before showtime to ensure your spot. Reserved seating may be released 15 minutes after the show begins. If seats are no longer available, refunds may be issued in person. Please note: no refunds are issued for no-shows.
