This training provides staff with advanced operational, medicinal, and customer experience knowledge needed to continue to work in a medical dispensary.
The Mississippi Department of Health requires the successful completion of 5hrs of continuing education units (CEUs) annually in order to continue employment in a licensed cannabis operation in Mississippi. This training satisfies the annual 5hr requirement.
This advanced-level course is designed specifically for Cannabis Dispensary Technicians who aspire to enhance their knowledge, skills, and competencies within the cannabis industry. The course emphasizes three core areas of dispensary operations: operational practices, medicinal knowledge, and customer experience.
In the operational segment, you will delve into the complexities of dispensary management and operations. This includes understanding regulatory compliance, inventory management, security protocols, and the use of industry-specific technology. This segment aims to equip you with the skills to operate a dispensary effectively and within the boundaries of local and federal laws.
The medicinal knowledge segment provides an in-depth understanding of the medical aspects of cannabis. It covers the advanced science of cannabinoids and terpenes, the human endocannabinoid system, and the potential therapeutic uses of cannabis. We will also discuss the latest research findings and ongoing studies about the medical use of cannabis. This will help you to better advise customers who are using cannabis for medical purposes.
In the customer experience segment, you will learn how to create a positive and welcoming environment for all types of customers. This includes effective communication techniques, understanding different customer needs, handling difficult situations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. We will also discuss strategies to educate customers about the safe and responsible use of cannabis. This course will also share strategies for increasing sales and customer retention.
This course is designed to be interactive, engaging, and hands-on, with numerous case studies, group discussions, and role-plays. By the end of this course, you will be prepared to handle the most challenging aspects of dispensary operations and provide excellent service to your customers
Target Audience
This course is primarily intended for existing Cannabis Dispensary Technicians, Managers, and other professionals in the cannabis industry who want to deepen their understanding of dispensary operations, medical cannabis, and customer service.
Prerequisites
Participants should have a basic understanding of the cannabis industry, including its products and services. Previous experience working in a cannabis dispensary is highly recommended.
