Description

It can take more than a Spring Equinox day to bring ourselves back to the light.

Let’s wander the woodland, bask in the garden and create a portal for life’s return of spring. Grounding ourselves in the roots of the forest, and returning to our most authentic versions , we can become one with the land and nature. Acknowledging all that has gone before whilst focusing on what lies ahead.

Part 1- Nature Wellness guide Simone York will lead a forest therapy session, inviting us to observe, reflect and write from new perspectives by fully opening our senses and using  intuitive living connections to the environment. Moving at the pace of nature, welcoming in the stillness, and embracing our inner beings to fully connect with the natural world.

Part 2- Libby Piazza and Julia Megna    Mandalas are a commonality in many cultures, and represent the wholeness of life. Creating an earth altar or nature mandala can connect you to your surroundings, the season and what you may be striving for. We will explore the art of foraging elements to create with, from plants to non-living things, and arrange them in the universal shape of the circle. Your earth altar can be a simple thing of beauty, a rhythmic pattern, or a portal through which you can transport into this next chapter of your year.

Please dress warmly with layered clothing appropriate for whatever temperatures occur, and shoes for rough terrain. Bring a notebook to write in and possibly a picnic blanket or outdoor rug/ cloth to sit on.  If you have them, bring some natural objects for craft such as shells, pods, stones, etc.
