When you enter our Denney Theater to watch our latest Black History Production you’re taking a step into the sparkly yet nuanced world of the 60s, 70s, and 80s in Dreamgirls, a riveting story following the Dreamettes and their journey to become world-wide sensations. As the Dreams rise to the top with the help of Curtis Taylor Jr., however, they will find that their newfound success also comes with a high cost. This performance will feature the four understudies for our Dreams. Our understudies are vital to making sure “the show must go on” in the event one of our Dreams is unable to perform. Therefore, due to their hard work and dedication, we are giving them the opportunity to perform in case an emergency performance is not necessary.

ALL patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket and individual seat.
This production is appropriate for individuals 13 years and older due to the mild adult themes and length of show.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
As per HISD guidelines, spectator capacity is limited and socially distanced (4 seats max located together).
Masks are required for attendees at all times.
