In-person at MODA
What’s the best way to take visual notes on scenes from everyday life?
Through blind contour studies, which allow you to draw quickly and effectively while developing your hand-eye coordination.
When local artist and animator Anami Hayes was in art school, some of the best advice he received from one of his professors was to “draw what you see, not what you know.” Through doing this, you release your fear of making mistakes, allowing your work to become free and loose.
You’re invited to join us for an evening at the museum, where you can grab a drink and pick up a pencil as Anami coaches you through three exercises to strengthen your skills in blind contour studies.
Through his instruction, you’ll develop a better understanding of drawing, and you will leave with a higher level of trust in yourself and in your creative skills!
