Description

Check it out folks! Our event series, "Drinking History", is back, with another talk and tasting, this time right here at the Hart Cluett Museum. Join us for a night of deep dives, hot takes, and drinks for all as craft brewing expert Roger Savoy of Emporium Farm Brewery discusses the history of brewing in Rensselaer County, from the Dutch and hey days of the 1800's, to Prohibition and the eventual legalization of home brewing in 1978. Don’t miss out on this whirlwind tour of brewing history while enjoying beer made from real historic recipes dating back to the late 19th century.

One entry ticket will include two drinks along with light refreshments and access to museum exhibit galleries. Tickets are limited, so be sure to reserve a spot while you can!

Hart Cluett Museum

The Hart Cluett Museum is operated by Historic Rensselaer County (Rensselaer County Historical Society), a dynamic not-for-profit educational organization established in 1927 to connect local history and heritage with contemporary life. We enrich the present and advocate for the future by bringing the region's past to life, recognizing every face and every story. In pursuit of this mission, we collect, preserve, study, interpret, and make accessible a broad variety of objects and documents. We also conduct educational programs that inspire public enthusiasm for our roots and bolster the entrepreneurial appetites of our community.
