Description

Help Us Support the Food Bank of Waterloo Region:

  • During this month's Meetup, we invite you to bring with you a non-perishable food and/or cash donation. Proceeds will benefit The Food Bank of Waterloo Region
  • The Food Bank of Waterloo Region functions as a distribution centre, so it doesn't give out food directly from their location. Instead, they work with the Cambridge Food Bank to lead the Community Food Assistance Network. This means they acquire essential food items, fulfill orders, and distribute fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to partner organizations across Waterloo region. The Network consists of 54 organizations and 132 food assistance programs.

These Meetups are great if you're looking to:

  • Make your community a more inclusive, safe and welcoming place to live, work, play and shop.
  • Learn about and support the boutique shops, restaurants and other businesses that have established a physical presence in your community.
  • Build business organically through relationship building.
  • Get to know your neighbours and learn about the companies they work for, the products/services they represent, and strike a personal connection on common interests or hobbies.
  • Feel more connected with your local community.

Bring your business cards!

  • Eastbridge Business Connections will be holding a business card draw (at 8:00pm) for some locally donated items.
  • Special thanks to our 46 valued Annual Meetup Door Prize Sponsors, who collectively, are helping Eastbridge Business Connections give out more than $23,000 in door prizes throughout 2024!
  • For those of you who would like to showcase your business by contributing an item to this month's door prize table, please bring your door prize with you and connect with one of our volunteers upon entry.

What are these business connections meetup chapters all about?

  • Eastbridge Business Connections is one of seven chapters that make up the Locally Connected Community Hub.
  • The Locally Connected Community Hub is Waterloo Region’s largest and fastest-growing community-based networking group that connects 1,800+ local area residents.
  • Each chapter offers a series of informal networking Meetups that bring together residents and merchants from within and around their respective neighbourhoods (or communities).
  • Participants range from entrepreneurs to stay-at-home-parents, business owners, young professionals, retirees, those who hold a regular 9-5 job and those wishing to feel more connected with their community.
  • There is no cost to participate in any of the various meetups.
  • Not sure if networking is your thing? This is as informal as it gets. Have some fun and bring your spouse, neighbour and/or a colleague with you.
  • Email Jason Kipfer at eastbridgebc@gmail.com to receive monthly updates and learn about ways to strengthen our community.

Connecting Communities, Building Relationships

The Locally Connected Community Hub (LCCHub) began in 2017 as a simple effort to bring neighbours together at a local Bar & Grill. Since then, it has blossomed into the largest and fastest-growing grassroots networking collective in the tri-cities region and Stratford area, with over 2,000 participants. Operating through seven chapters in Waterloo, Woolwich, Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, and Stratford, LCCHub creates inclusive spaces where people from all walks of life can connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.

Our mission is to make the communities we serve more inclusive, safe, and welcoming places to live, work, play, and shop. Whether through casual social gatherings, outdoor activities, or networking events, LCCHub makes it easy for entrepreneurs, young professionals, parents, retirees, and everyone in between to feel connected and supported.

LCCHub is also deeply committed to giving back. From food and toy drives to supporting school breakfast programs and Canadian Blood Services, our grassroots initiatives aim to strengthen the community in tangible ways. By fostering relationships and encouraging collaboration, we help individuals, businesses, and neighbourhoods thrive together.

Join us in building a brighter, more connected future. Together, we can make our communities vibrant, welcoming places for everyone to live, work, play, and grow.
