Description
Please come prepared to sing a song from the show. Our musical will most closely follow the Original 1957 TV Cast Recording. This album can be easily found on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube. This audition will be short and sweet! We will hear you sing and may schedule a callback and give you an opportunity to read some lines. No callback? No worries! This is not an indication that you haven't been cast. You will be contacted with our final decision.
If you'd like to save time, email Jenna at emmettcommunityplayhouse@gmail.com to request the audition form in advance. You can print, fill it out, and bring it at your scheduled audition time.
If you are cast, rehearsals will begin August 3rd and will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30-8:30 with the possibility of a Friday rehearsal being added. Performances will be September 25th and 26th and October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Those cast in principal roles may be asked to begin rehearsals immediately following casting.
Video auditions: our preference is to see you in person! If that isn't possible, you may submit a video audition. Record a video of yourself singing a song from the show. Video should show your whole body and be filmed in natural lighting if possible. Submit video auditions to emmettcommunityplayhouse@gmail.com Once your video has been received, you will receive a confirmation email containing the audition form. You will need to complete this form and email it back.
