Kids under 12 are invited to dance for free!

To celebrate our last dance of the season, feel free to stay after for a potluck in the greenhouse, fire, and jam circle! Please bring a nourishing dish to share (with ingredients labeled), and instruments!
Ecstatic Dance is an opportunity to connect with your body and community with free form expressive dance. We will be honoring the container of the space, which includes:

Our featured artist for this dance is FlavYa!
Meet FlavYa, the dynamic DJ and producer bridging the musical worlds of New York and Brazil. With her eclectic style, she’s been blending traditional rhythms from various cultures, with a special focus on Brazilian, Latin, and dance music, for over a decade. From festivals to intimate gatherings, Flavya captivates dance floors around the globe.
Fluent in English and Portuguese, she connects the dance music scenes of New York, São Paulo, and Florianópolis.
She has developed her own DJing and music production programs and continues to independently teach and mentor aspiring DJs. Beyond performing and teaching, Flavya spends her time digging for 70s and 80s vinyl, creating remixes and edits of classic tracks.
Flavya’s musical journey is a testament to her dedication to the art of DJing and her mission to share her joy and rhythm with the world.

We will gently land our dance with a special Closing Sound Meditation with Melissa officinalis & Sophia Bruun, featuring live instruments such as handpan, shruti box, koshi chimes, medicine drums, shakers, rain stick, gong, singing bowls, and vocals, and guided meditation. Please feel welcome to bring a blanket to sit or lay on for this experience.
