The Plastic Waste Band is an experimental rock band born from the jazz community of Montréal, Canada. This is a band in the truest sense: longtime collaborators who fly into psychedelic group improvisations on the wings of finely tuned compositions /\/\
Michael Davidson & Bjorn Kriel are a toronto-based mallet percussion duo w/electronics growing out of jazz but departing freely into unknown universes while rigorous structures are built and simultaneously knocked into oblivion /\/\
Aline Homzy is an award-winning violinist and composer. Originally from Montréal, born to a Québécois mom and American dad with Eastern-European roots. Aline's original music reflects her culturally-diverse background running the gamut from jazz to ghost to space /\/\
This will be a two part event with a workshop and open discussion featuring the artists from 3pm-4:30pm. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments as there will be opportunities to perform with and/or help the artists display concepts throughout the session /\/\
This will be followed by an evening concert from 8pm-10:30pm. Doors will open at 7pm. There will be light snacks provided free of charge /\/\

Elastic Recordings is a Canadian artist-run record label. The co-creation of vibraphonist Michael Davidson and double bassist Dan Fortin, It is a collective outlet exploring the spaces where composition and improvisation overlap.
Elastic aims to curate and disseminate music that is historically difficult to classify. Our focus is on artistic statements that defy the strictures of genre – where composed structures still have a quality of spontaneity.
