Embodhiment Dance is a different kind of partner-dance experience—one that begins with the body, deepens through connection, and comes alive through movement and expression.
Join us for our first Embodhiment Dance experience at the renowned Delray Ballroom, featuring Dr. Marissa Ivette and Sensual Bachata.
A Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and longtime dancer, performer and teacher, Marissa brings a unique understanding of the human body to partner dance. At the heart of her teaching is nonviolent, nonverbal communication through movement—cultivating safety, listening, connection and expression between partners.
The evening begins with Justin Roberts and an Embodiment Workshop exploring natural posture, structural alignment and body awareness. Drawing from his background in craniosacral therapy, massage, yoga, martial arts and movement, Justin helps you become more grounded, present and connected to your body before you ever take a dance step.
First, feel yourself. Then connect with another. Then dance.
From there, Dr. Marissa leads us into Sensual Bachata, bringing embodiment and connection into partner movement.
Then we open the floor for a Bachata Latin Social with the legendary DJ7Siete, bringing it all together through music, dance and community.
Come experience partner dance from the inside out.
