Emily Ovesen is a singer-songwriter from the Lowell area whose love stems from emotional connection through song. With inspiration coming from 60’s and 70’s folk, to soft electronic, to indie rock.
Mowesby & the Northern Flicker creates thoughtful, genuine, contemporary folk songs. Mowesby's music transports listeners into a world where syncopated rhythms weave through emotive vocals, creating a sense of intimacy and engagement between the artist and his audience.
Folk-rocker Wallace Field rises like a phoenix from the metaphorical ashes of a breakup and the literal ashes of a house fire with her debut album “All Costs,” out now. With her “powerful voice reminiscent of Joan Baez” (The Valley Advocate), this late-blooming artist stuns with her haunting, vulnerable songwriting and “crystalline voice” (The Recorder). The Boston Globe says Field “always sounds like she means it,” and as she sings from the soul, she surely does.
