Description
Equines & Art is a peer empowerment group for girls between the ages of 9 and 13, that utilizes relationships with horses and therapeutic art. This group is perfect for girls struggling with the normal anxieties and worries that occur at their age, as well as helping to build positive and healthy relationships with peers. Areas of focus will include building confidence, managing stress, practicing coping skills, and developing and maintaining positive communication needed to manage this sometimes overwhelming period of life. Each session will involve components of Equine Assisted Learning and one art project. This program is led by Mental Health Practitioner, Nicole Rocco-Lapinski, LCSW. Wednesdays 6:00-7:15pm.
Note: Participants must wear closed toe shoes. The group will take a break the week of the school district's fall break.
