A perfect class for both beginners and experienced home cooks ready to level up their skills! You’ll get hands-on experience slicing, dicing, mincing & chopping various vegetables. With the cut vegetables, you’ll make soupe au pistou (vegetable soup with pesto). You’ll learn important skills such as: how to properly hold & handle knives, essential cutting techniques, knife care, storage, safety and more!
You'll learn:
- How to properly hold and handle knives
- The knives you need in your kitchen and how to choose them
- Essential cutting techniques and when to use each skill
- Slicing, dicing, mincing, and chopping with celery, onion, tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeños, garlic, parsley and carrots
- Knife care, storage and safety

Each person will practice knife work alone, however you’ll share a station with another guest to make the soup. If you buy 2 tickets, you’ll be working with the other person in your party. If you buy 1 ticket, or an uneven number of tickets, someone in your party will be paired up with another guest to make the soup.

- Do we cook in this class? Yes! We'll be chopping up various raw ingredients like peppers and onions that we'll use in a vegetable soup.
- What do I need to bring? Not much! We'll provide the ingredients and knives for you to use in class
- Is it fun? Yes. It's one of our most popular classes and a great place to start if you're looking to improve your skills!
- Can I come alone? Absolutely! A lot of our guests in this class come by themselves. Please note that if you come as a solo (or in a group of 3 or 5), you'll be paired up with another guest to make the soup.

We prepare ingredients for each station in class, so advanced notice is required to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions.
