Andrew Galarneau, an independent digital journalist offering his food report at fourbites.net, invites you to dig into Ethiopian cuisine on May 21 at the Downtown Bazaar. In this monthly series, enjoy a culinary exploration at Downtown Bazaar, each featuring a cuisine that you can sample, savor, and explore, led by Andrew.

Ethiopian 101 will be held from 5 - 6 pm and will feature Abyssinia Ethiopian Cuisine . Chef-owner Zelalem Gemmeda will welcome guests with an Ethiopian coffee ceremony. The evening's menu will feature her signature dishes Doro wot (drumstick and egg), Beef tibs, Misir wot (lentils), Kiki Alecha (split peas), and Yabeha gomen (spinach). Taste some of the genius cooking our new neighbors have to offer. Learn about Ethiopian culture, culinary techniques and ingredients.
