EverWonder's 'Invention Convention'
Welcome to the most awaited event of the year - EverWonder's 'Invention Convention'! This event is hosted by EverWonder Children's Museum, the leading creative hub for children and youth in Newtown, Connecticut.
This event is specifically designed for our young inventors and innovators. Our goal is to provide a platform where children can explore, discover, and learn about the world of inventions in a fun and interactive way.
What to Expect?
At the 'Invention Convention', children will be given a chance to unleash their creativity and put on their thinking caps. They will be guided by an EverWonder educator who will help them understand the process of inventing, from the idea to the final product.
Children will participate in various activities such as brainstorming sessions, building prototypes, and much more! It's not just an event, it's an opportunity to learn, grow, and possibly invent the next big thing!
Who Can Participate?
This event is suitable for children and youth who have a keen interest in inventing and innovation. PLEASE NOTE THE PROGRAM FOR GRADES K-2 IS TUESDAYS ONLY, GRADES 3-5 IS WEDNESDAYS ONLY. Whether your child is a budding inventor or just curious about how things work, this event will surely ignite their curiosity and spark their creativity.
So, get ready to join us at the 'Invention Convention' for a day full of learning, fun, and creativity. Let's invent the future, today!
Who is Teaching?
This year's Invention Convention will be taught by Jen Betesh. She is the lead science educator at Newtown Middle School and has taught 8th grade science for years. She is also a local mom to a Kindergartener, so she knows how to work with all ages. You may also recognize her as a judge from last year's convention, OR as one of our camp directors this past summer. We're excited to have her in this role!
