Opening Night: DMV Taste & Talent
Evening Entertainment (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
- A culinary tour of DC’s local favorites (Wings with Mumbo sauce, Horace and Dickies, Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls, crabs, oxtail pizza, Kenny’s Kale, half-smokes, Pro Cakes)
- Live music and Comedy
- A night to celebrate creativity, culture, and connection
Friday, October 3 – FOE Secret Mission: DC Spy Scavenger Hunt
🕘 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Instead of classroom sessions, participants will embark on a city-wide “Spy Mission” — a themed scavenger hunt across Washington, DC. Teams will race to uncover hidden history, snap memorable photos, and collect unique items that showcase DC’s culture, landmarks, and legacy.
Team Setup:
- Teams of 4–6 participants.
- Each team will receive: a Metro SmartTrip card, an Uber gift card, and a FOE Spy Fanny Pack.
Instructions:
- Each team will be given a mission sheet with 20 tasks to complete. Tasks include a mix of photos, items, and creative challenges across DC.
- Teams may travel by Metro, Uber, or on foot.
- Each completed task must be documented with either a photo (team included when possible) or the physical item.
- Every task has a point value. More challenging or significant sites are worth more points.
- All teams must return to the designated meeting spot by 1:00 PM sharp. Points will be tallied, and the winning team will be crowned “Top Agents.”
- The hunt is designed to take about 3.5–4 hours, with built-in travel time and task completion.
