Train with The Dance Institute of Washington (DIW)! Aspiring dancers, ages 8 and up of all skill levels, are invited to attend placement auditions for the 2025–2026 DIW Pre-Professional School and training programs. At DIW, students train in ballet, modern, and cultural dance styles in a supportive environment that fosters excellence in technical skill, artistic expression, and self-discipline.
There will be two opportunities for dancers ages 8 and up to audition for the 2025-2026 school year. Dancers under the age of 8 are not required to audition in order to register. Please see the audition details below:

Preparation Tips:
- Dress Code: Female-identifying: leotard, ballet shoes, tights - convertible, if possible; Male-identifying: t-shirt, black tights or bike shorts, ballet shoes.
- Water Bottle: It's important that you stay hydrated.
- Warm-Up: Arrive early to warm up and be ready to perform at your best.
- Confidence and Passion: Show us your love for dance through your performance!
