Fall Break Quilt Camp in October is for youth ages 7-17 interested in learning to quilt! Please note that this is the same project made in the June 2026 Beginner sessions.
Early Bird Tickets are on sale Now through July 17, 2026 at 8:30am CT.
General Tickets go on sale July 17, 2026 at 9am CT.
Each session is 4 days (Mon.-Thurs.) for 2 1/2 hours each day. Campers will learn quilting skills and techniques while using sewing machines to create their own quilt from start to finish. Campers in all sessions will explore the exhibits in the museum galleries each day. All materials & instruction are provided, along with a small snack (such as lemonade & pretzels,/goldfish/animal crackers/etc).

Quilt Camp Sessions: Fall Break 2026
Beginner Camp: Ages 7-17 There are 2 sessions available so choose the one that fits your schedule best. All Beginner sessions will make the same project. Beginner quilters focus on the basics of quilting such as machine piecing, ironing, and finishing the quilt.
Beginner A - October 5 - 8, 2026 9:30am - 12:00pm
Beginner B - October 5 - 8, 2026 2:00pm-4:30pm
A reminder email will be sent closer to the start of Camp.
Things to know about Quilt Camp:
All materials, tools and instructions will be provided
Parents must fill out the Photography/Waiver Release Form for their child and return by the start of Camp
Parents must inform the NQM of any allergies or special needs prior to camp to ensure safety
Campers will adhere to museum policies, and follow instructions given by instructors during Camp to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
Campers are expected to attend each day of camp in order to complete their project
For drop-off and pick-up each day, campers must be signed in and out, by an adult, inside the classroom each day
Please do not arrive earlier than 9:15am for morning sessions, or 1:45pm for afternoon sessions
Snack is provided each day – typically lemonade/water with pretzels/animal crackers/popcorn/goldfish. (You may provide your own snack for dietary/medical reasons. Please label snack with the name of your camper)
If your camper is sick please do not send them to Camp
Parents & families are invited to visit NQM with their campers for free on the last day of their Quilt Camp session
If a session is full, join the waitlist in case of any openings. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee that you will receive a spot in Camp.
