Description

Event Description:

Celebrate the changing season with a guided paddle on the scenic waters of Lake James. Launching from the Linville Access, this mid-day paddle will highlight the beauty of western North Carolina’s fall foliage from the water. As we explore the lake’s quiet coves and open views of the surrounding mountains, we’ll discuss the importance of Lake James as a source of clean water and habitat, and how seasonal changes impact our watershed.

This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly paddle ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to enjoy a crisp fall day outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring a packable lunch for a floating or shoreline break during the trip.
