Fall Songwriter Series: Second Round
Friday, October 30, 2026 | 8PM
The Bunker Performance Lounge & Cafe, 104 Wellington St, Stratford

The Bunker's Fall Songwriter Series continues with a second round bringing together three distinct voices in one room. Spanish-German singer-songwriter Luna Keller, Acton's Julia Godden, and Stratford's own Barry James Payne share songs shaped by very different journeys, from the road to the studio to a lifetime spent chasing the craft.

Luna Keller
Luna Keller calls her songs friends and travels the world with them. Raised in a musical family in Spain, she recorded her earliest work in her father's home studio before moving to Germany to pursue music full time. Blending indie folk, pop, and singer-songwriter traditions, Keller writes with disarming openness about the challenges of being human. A self-described "songwriter-holic," she has written more than 700 songs, along with countless improvised audience collaborations. Her music has appeared in Starbucks advertising, Netflix series, Hallmark films, and prominent independent playlists and blogs. She is currently releasing singles from her third album, Death and All Her Enemies, continuing to transform deeply personal experiences into songs that help listeners feel understood.

Julia Godden
At 21, Acton singer-songwriter Julia Godden has already spent years performing throughout Ontario. Since beginning at 14, she has appeared in restaurants, farmers' markets, festivals, fall fairs, open mics, concert halls, and on the street as a busker. Godden's indie-folk songwriting draws directly from her own experiences, pairing thoughtful lyrics with a strong vocal range and an easy, natural stage presence. Her influences include Phoebe Bridgers, Joni Mitchell, and Noah Kahan. She has released three singles and performed at Cicada Fest in 2024, and continues to establish herself as a promising young voice in Ontario's independent folk scene.

Barry James Payne
Barry James Payne is a Stratford-based Canadian singer-songwriter with more than four decades of experience across stages, studios, and the music business. He began as a drummer before turning to guitar and songwriting, performing with London's Everest and Vancouver's Linear-B. He later worked in promotion and record distribution and founded BangOn Press Relief and BangOn Records. Payne also spent 12 years with Celtic fusion group Rant Maggie Rant, touring Canada, writing original material, and producing the band's final two albums. His releases, including nadir and Love & Highways, explore relationships, loss, resilience, and difficult truths, delivered with lived-in authenticity and hard-earned perspective.

Pay what you can (recommended $15). Doors at 8PM. Come early for cocktails and a bite before the songs start.
