Music groups
The Directors Ensemble was created by some of the board directors of Salem Orchestra (hence the name). This group seamlessly blends the beauty of classical music with the fun of modern pop/rock pieces.
Sunset Bends is a local band from Salem, OR playing 60's and 70's psychedelic, blues, and classic rock. Salem Orchestra musicians will accompany them as they play familiar favorites like “Time”, “Kashmir”, and many more.
String Theory (Joe and Elena Harchanko) have been playing together for over 10 years. A father-daughter duet, they bring a groove to the cello and specialize in Celtic, Pop, Funk, as well as classical. Joe is principal cellist of the Salem Orchestra and Elena is currently a student at South Salem High.
