Description

Join us for a fun and educational Family Day at the Observatory, designed especially for families with children 12 and under! This special program invites young explorers to discover the wonders of our solar system through hands-on activities, interactive learning, and plenty of outdoor excitement. Kids will have the chance to learn about the planets, our cosmic neighborhood, and of course, our nearest star—the Sun—in a way that’s both engaging and accessible.

To ensure a great experience for everyone, advanced tickets are required, and attendance is limited. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to future events. Each family group must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone. A daytime State Park parking fee will also be required upon arrival.

Because a portion of the program takes place outdoors, we recommend bringing sun protection—a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water. If you’d like to enjoy a snack or picnic before the activities begin, the group campground picnic area, conveniently located right next to the observatory, will be open for families to use.

We look forward to welcoming you for a day of discovery, curiosity, and celestial adventure!
