Join us for a special stagecoach day at the Fanthorp Inn on October 31st from 10am to 3pm! Come visit the inn as, we commemorate the 159th anniversary of Henry and Rachel Fanthorps’ passing. Explore the unique and peculiar ways Victorian families mourned the loss of a loved one.
Due to the macabre nature of the subject matter this program may not be suitable for children under 10.
Purchase your tickets now to hop aboard our replica stagecoach for a ride up to the historic Grimes County Courthouse and back. Only 6 people will be allowed per time slot. An adult ticket holder must be present before children will be allowed to board the coach.
We encourage guests to arrive at the Fanthorp Inn at least 30 minutes prior to your boarding time. Once you arrive be sure to check in at the front porch and receive your souvenir stagecoach ticket then tour the home, walk the grounds, and enjoy the living history activities around the site. We’ll notify you when its time to board your coach for your grand tour of Anderson!
