Join Fauna Rescue SA for a guided Possum Walk and Talk through the Adelaide Parklands.

Led by experienced wildlife rescuers, this unique evening walk gives you the opportunity to observe wild possums in their natural habitat while learning about South Australia’s native wildlife.

 

During the walk you may have the opportunity to:

✳️ Spot possums in their natural habitat.
✳️ Differentiate between ringtail and brushtail possums.
✳️ View a reunite and release site.
✳️ View a wild ringtail's drey.

You may even see a joey riding on its mother’s back.

This relaxed educational walk is perfect for anyone interested in wildlife, and the incredible animals living right here in the Adelaide Parklands.

 

Event Details
Where: St Andrew’s Hospital, 350 South Terrace (parking available).
When: Friday, 13 March 2026
Time: Arrive by 8:30 PM for a 8.45 PM start.
Stay for an hour or as long as you like!

Duration: approximately 1 hour


What to Bring
Please bring flashlight (not essential)
As it is an evening outdoor event depending on the season, consider layers, warm coat, scarf and gloves.

 

Fitness
Be prepared to walk up to 2 km in the dark at a leisurely pace.

 

Cancellation Please be aware if the weather conditions are unfavourable, you will be notified of cancellation and an alternative date will be arranged or you will be issued with a refund.
