Historic Rock Ford is offering a private field trip to the National Museum of the United States Army in Fort Belvoir, VA. Details are as follows:

  • 7:00 AM - Depart from Lancaster Shopping Center, 1625 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA
  • 10:00 AM - Approximate arrival at the National Museum of the United States Army
  • 11:00-12:00 PM - Lunch in one of the conference rooms
  • 5:00 PM - Depart NMUSA for return to Lancaster
  • 8:00 PM - Approximate return to Lancaster Shopping Center

Price of $75 per person includes travel by motorcoach, driver gratuity, boxed lunch, and free admission to the Museum. When you purchase your ticket, please use the link in your confirmation email to select your boxed lunch option. 

The NMUSA is a go-at-your-own pace museum. Their new exhibit "Call to Arms: The Soldier and The Revolutionary War" is included. Museum docents provide free guided tours at 10:15 AM and 1:15 PM daily. These tours visit the "Fighting for the Nation Galleries" for approximately 50 minutes. If you wish to take one of these tours, please visit the museum Welcome Desk to request a free tour ticket.

Historic Rock Ford is comprised of the circa 1794 General Edward Hand Mansion and the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery of Early Lancaster County Decorative Arts. Our historic site is situated on 33 acres of gardens, woods and grounds surrounded by Lancaster County Central Park located in the southeast corner of Lancaster City.  This remarkable estate offers visitors the opportunity to encounter the outstanding original late-Georgian style architecture of the Hand Mansion, to experience its rooms furnished in exquisite period style while, in the Snyder Gallery, to explore a nationally recognized collection of Lancaster County decorative arts dating from circa 1760 to 1820 including furniture, portraiture, long rifles, tall case clocks, silver, and much more.
