A screening of the award-winning feature film Whale Rider, in honor of Paikea, the ancestral Ma ̄ori figure visiting BGC in the Conserving Active Matter Exhibition, with an introduction by Dr. Wayne Ngata (Nga ̄ti Ira, Nga ̄ti Porou, Te Aitanga a Hauiti), member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his contributions to Ma ̄ori and education.
