Description
Completed in 1905 the Ferguson Mansion was the most lavish home on South Third Street in the Old Louisville neighborhood. Today the mansion houses the Filson Historical Society. While many of our visitors and members love touring the Beaux Arts home, few know about the Ferguson family who lived here over a hundred years ago. Come learn and explore the family history through the photographs they have left behind and glean a better understanding of the history of our neighborhood.
Heather Potter is an Associate Curator of Special Collections at The Filson Historical Society. She received her BA in History from Washburn University and her MLS from Indiana University Bloomington.
