Description

Recommended for those age 18-30

A series of 4 Wednesdays: October 30, November 6, 13, 20

6:30 to 7:30

Please join us in-person at the Center for Grief & Loss for this four-part series of 60-minute sessions where we will spend time together digging into a variety of art materials for open-ended creative exploration in response to prompts exploring the intersection of grief and loss and belonging. Experiencing loss can be isolating but it is also a shared human experience that we can connect on. Facilitated by Corilyn Wagner, an art therapist who believes creating in community is healing. This group is appropriate for all types of losses, including the loss of a loved one, change in health status or chronic health issues, ambiguous loss, and any other types of losses. No previous art experience or artistic skill is needed to participate in this group.

These groups are offered free of charge as part of a grant thanks to the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council that includes the Center for Grief and Loss and two other FamilyMeans locations. This group will include individual and collaborative art-making experiences that will yield at least two pieces that you will take home, one piece that we would like to display and then return to you for a culminating exhibition, and one piece that will be collaborative that will also be included in the exhibition and then permanently installed at a FamilyMeans location. You will be notified and invited to attend when more information about the exhibition that is anticipated to take place in the Spring is available.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is a 4-part series. The date on this page only references the first date of series. Dates are listed above.
