He holds a bachelor’s degree from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Illinois in Springfield, and a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies from Ontario Canada. He is a member of the Irish Genealogical Society International and currently serves on their board of directors. He conducts research on Irish, English and records from Continental Europe. Dave has written several articles on proving family stories and speaks to groups on genealogy topics including Irish research. His written and video genealogy blogs can be found at his website, www.theancestorguy.com. Dave’s mother Marion is also the second cousin to Sr. Davidica Beschta.
